Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using BookAPT (“the Service”, “the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

BookAPT is operated by ORYN Inc. and is available as a mobile application (Google Play Store and Apple App Store) and web application at bookapt.io.

2. Description of Service

BookAPT is a smart appointment booking platform that enables customers to discover businesses, book appointments, receive reminders, and make payments. Business owners can manage services, workers, appointments, and payment integrations through the platform.

3. SMS and Communications Consent

By providing your phone number and creating an account, you explicitly consent to receive SMS messages from BookAPT, including appointment confirmations, reminders, cancellations, payment confirmations, and service updates.

Phone number is optional for customer accounts. You may opt-out of SMS notifications at any time by replying “STOP” to any SMS message, toggling SMS notifications OFF in Profile Settings, or contacting customer support at info@orynsolutions.io.

Message and data rates may apply. Standard messaging charges from your carrier apply.

4. Location Data and Consent

By providing your zipcode/postal code during registration, you consent to:

  • Collection of your zipcode and address information
  • Conversion of your zipcode to geographic coordinates using geocoding services
  • Sharing of location coordinates with Foursquare Places API to search for nearby businesses
  • Use of location data to provide location-based services and business recommendations

You can update or delete your location information at any time through your Profile Settings.

5. Third-Party Integrations

BookAPT integrates with third-party services that you may choose to connect, including payment processors (Stripe, PayPal), calendar providers (Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook), and business search services (Foursquare). Your use of these integrations is subject to the respective third party’s terms and privacy policies. BookAPT is not responsible for third-party services.

When you connect Google Calendar, you authorize BookAPT to access and manage calendar events as described in our Privacy Policy (Section 5).

6. Subscriptions, Credits, and Cancellation

6.1 Business Subscription Plans

Business accounts may subscribe to a paid BookAPT plan. Paid plans are auto-renewing subscriptions: unless you cancel, your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period and the payment method on file is charged the then-current price for that plan. Where a plan includes a free trial, the subscription converts to a paid subscription automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel before that time.

6.2 How to Cancel

You may cancel at any time. Where you cancel depends on where you subscribed:

  • iPhone or iPad (App Store): open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and cancel BookAPT. You can also reach this from BookAPT under Settings → Subscription & Billing → Manage or Cancel Subscription. Apple, not BookAPT, manages subscriptions purchased through the App Store.
  • Android (Google Play): open the Google Play Store, tap your profile icon, then Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, and cancel BookAPT. This is also reachable from Settings → Subscription & Billing in the app. Google, not BookAPT, manages subscriptions purchased through Google Play.
  • Web (bookapt.io): go to Settings → Subscription & Billing → Manage or Cancel Subscription, which opens our payment processor’s billing portal where you can cancel, view invoices, and update your payment method.

6.3 Effect of Cancellation

Cancellation stops future renewals. It does not end your current billing period: you keep access to your paid plan features until the end of the period you have already paid for, after which the account reverts to the free plan. Cancelling a free trial ends access at the point the trial would have converted, or immediately, depending on the store or processor handling your subscription.

6.4 No Refunds

Subscription fees are non-refundable. Cancellation is the only remedy available for a subscription you no longer wish to keep. We do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods, unused time, or periods during which you did not use the Service.

This policy is the same wherever you subscribed — on iPhone, on Android, or on the web. There is no self-service refund option on any platform.

Subscriptions purchased through the App Store or Google Play are billed by Apple or Google rather than by us. Because those companies made the charge, their own refund policies apply to it and any such request must be made to them directly; BookAPT cannot issue or reverse a charge made by a store.

Nothing in this section limits any refund or cancellation right you have that cannot be waived under the consumer protection laws of your country or state.

6.5 Booking Credits

Booking credits are a one-time purchase, not a subscription. They do not renew, are not billed on a recurring basis, and there is therefore nothing to cancel. Credits are non-refundable once issued and have no cash value. Credits consumed by a completed booking are not returned; refunds for the underlying appointment, service, or product are the responsibility of the business you booked with, not BookAPT.

6.6 Price Changes

We may change subscription prices. We will give notice before a price change takes effect, and the new price will apply from your next billing period. If you do not agree to the new price, you may cancel as described in Section 6.2 before it takes effect.

7. Account Termination and Deletion

You may delete your account and associated data at any time. How to delete (in the app or by email), what data is removed, and processing times are set out in our Privacy Policy – Account Deletion. Upon deletion, your right to use the Service ends and we will remove your account data as described there (subject to any legal retention requirements).

8. Privacy Policy

Please review our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information, including location data, Google user data, and account deletion rights.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ORYN Inc. and BookAPT shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
